At Tuesday's meeting, the Wayne County Commissioners received updates and discussed new agreements.
Representatives from Bradly Construction Management gave the Commissioners an update on the Haystack Wind Project. They informed them of the new site manager that was added to the project.
They are going to finish up a few more troubleshooting on the 18 – 2.4 turbines and the 5.0s are starting to turn and see some troubleshooting as well. They believe the Haystack Wind Project should be fully online by spring of 2022.
There are still four main cranes that are on sites and will take 4-5 days to break down and remove. They are planning to have a night crew for the next couple of weeks that will work through the winter weather to the best of their abilities
Next Pat Brentlinger presented a three-year Trane renewal agreement for the Commissioners to discuss and vote on. The cost for year one is $8,800, and will increase to around $9,100 the second year and around $9,500 in the final year. The Commissioners voted to approve the renewal.
The Commissioners were then told that their current IT agreement with the company they were using, MIPS, was coming to an end this month. They decided to make an agreement with Applied Connective Technologies out of Norfolk for next year.
Dean Burbach in District 2 passed along information about the state-bid system for a John Deere motor grader and will continue to look for more information.
Finally Highway Superintendent Mark Casey notified the Commissioners that he has completed the bridge inspection list and there was some silt and vegetation built up at the end of box culverts and culverts. He will be sending a final approval email after the wind farm driveways in Sholes received certification which was required by the Commissioners.
The Wayne County Board of Commissioners will next meet in regular session on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 9 a.m. in the Wayne County Courthouse.
