Resolutions dealing with the demolition of a garage, amending the city's energy incentive program and a lease agreement were among the topics on the agenda when the Wayne City Council met in regular session on Monday.
A bid from Benscoter Construction for $1,685 was approved to remove a garage at 506 Sherman Street. The charge will become a lien on the property.
Another of the resolutions approved during the meeting was an amended lease agreement between the city and Flyover Demographics, LLC for the property at 306 Main Street. This will extend the lease agreement for an additional six months and increase the utility contribution from $50 to $75 per month.
Council members approved a request from the Wayne Baseball Association to close off Windom Street from Third to Fourth Street from Saturday, July 18 to Friday, July 24 (if weather causes the tournament to be delayed) for the State American Legion Junior Baseball Tournament.
Approval was given to waive the auditorium rental fee for the National Manure Expo Volunteer Appreciation Meal on Tuesday, July 28.
The Wayne City Council will next meet in regular session on Monday, July 20 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
