The Wayne Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is aware of the challenges to families in the community, including the lack of weekday school lunches.
The school district has a plan to provide weekday meals for student who need it, but DQ would like to extend this by offering free takeout sack lunches on Saturdays and Sundays.
The following are the guidelines:
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through April 5 (this could be extended, depending on the school district’s closure dates).
ANY area student in grades PK-12 ((limit one per student) who drives through or stops in and orders the Sack Lunch Special will receive either a hot dog or cheeseburger with French fries and an additional side (additional side will vary depending on supply).
There is no purchase necessary to take advantage of this offer.
