Daniel George Cunningham, 64, of Wayne, died  suddenly on Friday, April 10, 2026 at his home in Wayne. 

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25 at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 25 at Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.  

A Gathering with friends and family will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25. The event will be held at the White Dog Pub and refreshments will be provided by White Dog Pub, located at 102 Main Street in Wayne.

Daniel George Cunningham was born Oct. 7, 1961 in Omaha to Ted and Gracie (Lee) Cunningham. He attended school at Castelar Grade School, Bancroft Jr. High in South Omaha and got his General Education Degree. He worked for his father’s Home Remodeling and Maintenance business in Omaha.

In 1992 Daniel moved to Wayne where he worked several jobs and of note, as a licensed Medication Aide for R Way, Inc from 1999 to 2006. Daniel helped many friends to overcome their addictions. He then worked part-time as a porter for the White Dog Pub and others. Daniel lived out the rest of his life in Wayne. He enjoyed classic rock music, good food, motorcycles, classic cars and socializing with friends and people in the community.  

Survivors include his sisters,  Peggy Lee Oster and Colleen Tweedy; nephews, Samuel Oster and Bryan Tweedy;  cousins and his Wayne community family. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents.
