For a second straight Monday, the Wayne State College women’s golf program began a two-day preview.
From the Shangri-La Golf Club in Monkey Island, Oklahoma, 20 teams were showcased during the NCAA DII Spring Regional Preview on Monday.
The Wildcats currently sit 15th after posting a day one 320.
The host Central Missouri (two under PAR) leads the Spring Regional Preview with a 286, Henderson State follows in second by three strokes and a one-over PAR 289, Arkansas Tech is in third (293), Harding currently sits fourth (295) as Missouri Southern rounds out the top five with a 298 following round one action.
There are 14 golfers out of 107 at PAR or better being led by Mia Rallo from Central Missouri posting a six-under PAR 66.
Sophomore Erica Lee leads Wayne State College sitting tied for 15th following an opening round 73 at one-over PAR.
Other team scoring is being posted by junior Saffire Sayre (t-43rd – 78); freshman Camryn Johnson (t-79th – 83); senior Abbigail Brodersen (t-94th – 86) and junior Meg Thompson (T-98th – 87).
