A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Denise R. Dietz, 54, of Norfolk. There is no visitation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Denise Renee Dietz died Thursday June 6, 2024, at Faith Regional Health Services after battling a lifelong illness.
Denise Renee Dietz (Petersen, Voss, Duff) was born on May 9, 1970 in Jefferson, Iowa to Gary Duff and Diana Weible. She later moved to Nebraska and attended Winside Public Schools. She married Timothy Voss and blessed the world with two wonderful daughters, Hope and Paige. After the girls were grown, she met her current husband, Steve Dietz, and they have been a comfort to each other for many years.
She would want to be remembered for quick-witted sense of humor, avid love of animals, and her baking skills. Her favorite things included the color yellow, emeralds, giraffes, vacationing in the mountains, attending car shows and drag races, and car trips with the windows down and the music up.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Dietz of Norfolk; two daughters, Hope Voss and Jacob Acers of Omaha and Paige Voss of Winside; siblings, Jennifer Massey of Texas, half-brother, G.W. Duff and half-sister, Danielle Jackson both of Iowa; several uncles and cousins.
She was preceded into death by her grandparents, Edward and Arlene Weible; parents, Gary Duff and Diana Weible, and the father of her children, Timothy Voss.
The family asks that donations be made in her name to local animal shelters.
