Didgets teams post Thursday wins

The Wayne Didgets baseball teams both posted wins in baseball action Thursday.
The White Didgets claimed a 3-2 win over the West Point Tigers in extra innings. Dominik Dominguez, Aiden Liston and Wyatt Heikes all pitched well to keep things close, with Heikes getting the win in relief. Ryan Karsky reached base four times, and Liston, Kaleb Moormeier and Orion Spiker all had hits to lead the offense.
The Blue Didgets also earned a win, getting a 3-0 shutout against Arlington in a neutral-site game at West Point. Gavin Redden and Sam Junck combined on a no-hitter on the mound, with each pitcher giving up a walk. Redden struck out seven and Junck had five strikeouts.
Offensively, Redden, Calvin Ankeny and Zach McManigal scored runs. Redden and Ankeny each had two hits, while McManigal, Ethan Bohnert and Devin Anderson both had hits.
The White Didgets play Logan View at Hooper on Tuesday, while the Blue Didgets are home Thursday to face the West Point Royals in a 6 p.m. game.
