Donna Faye Clarice (Utemark) Roeber, 91, of Norfolk, formerly of Wakefield, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, at Edgewood Assisted Living Center in Norfolk.  

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Immanuel Lutheran Church rural Wakefield with Rev. William Bertrand officiating.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be held at the Wakefield Cemetery.

Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Donna Faye Clarice (Utemark) Roeber was born March 24, 1932, in rural Wakefield to Clarence and Elsebeth “Elsie” (Sebade) Utemark.  She attended Wakefield Public School and graduated in 1949.  Donna married Lloyd Dale Roeber at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson on Sept. 4, 1949.  They farmed and raised hogs and cattle.  In 1995, the couple moved into Wakefield.  Donna was very active in the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid and Choir.  Donna loved to sew and made many quilts over the years. She also enjoyed playing the piano, organ and accordion. Donna enjoyed bowling, playing cards and baking. She belonged to the Pleasant Dells Ladies Club and card clubs. She was also active at the Dixon County Fair in the food stand and checking in exhibits.

Survivors include her three sons and their spouses: Bruce and Kim, Bryon and Marcella, and Garry and Diane; sister-in-law, Myrna Roeber; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd in 2014; sister, JoAnn Nettleton; sisters-in-law, Bernita Becker and Rose Johnson; brothers-in-law, Gerald Becker, Gene Nettleton, Milford Roeber and Don Johnson.
