Elaine Draghu, 96, of Wayne, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne.

Darlene Elaine Draghu was born June 24, 1927 in Laurel to Raymond and Hannah (Pehrson) Burns. Elaine was a graduate of Laurel High School. She did secretarial work in Sioux City and then worked for the Post Office in Laurel. Elaine married Marvin Draghu May 4, 1947 at the Logan Center United Methodist Church north of Laurel. The couple farmed between Wayne and Wakefield before moving to Wayne in 2006.
Elaine was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne, where she belonged to the Hannah and Joy Circles, Church Quilters and Bible Study. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Neighborhood Extension Club and was an assistant 4-H Leader. Elaine loved to read, embroider and tend to her vegetable and flower gardens.
Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Regnier of Rochester, Minnesota and Kathleen (Mark Degenhardt) Collins of Angels Camp, California; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; brother, Duane (Jacqueline) Burns of Grand Island; sister-in-law, Marcille Draghu of Wayne, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three-year old sister, Anita; twin sons in 1953; husband, Marvin in 2013; sons-in-law, Thomas Regnier in 2010 and Dixon Collins in 2014; sister-in-law, Arlene Watteyne and brother-in-law, Donald Draghu.
