Faith Regional Physician Services Wakefield Family Medicine officially broke ground Friday morning on a new facility along Highway 35 in Wakefield.
The new clinic will be located along Highway 35 at the corner of Seventh and Oak streets, and will provide additional space and exam rooms.
"The investment in this facility and community supports the mission of Faith Regional Physician Services, to be a provider-led multi-specialty healthcare team, committed to delivering high quality, comprehensive services to the people of northeast Nebraska," said Shantell Skalberg, senior marketing specialist for Faith Regional Physician Services.
The facility is expected to be open by the end of 2016.
