Wayne girls along with Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (G/B) and Wayne State College (W/M) resumed regular season play on Feb. 12.
From Wayne Jr/Sr High School in a girls only contest, Wayne concluded their regular season with a 55-32 win over Wynot.
The Blue Devil girls (14-10) will next travel to Macy on Feb. 17 for the Class C1-4 subdistrict tournament as the #3 seed and face #2 North Bend Central at 7:30 p.m.
The Wayne boys (11-11) are back on their home court for a boys only contest hosting Bennington on Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
From Wisner, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge girls secured a 56-47 victory while the LCC boys suffered a 60-46 loss at Wisner-Pilger.
The LCC girls (16-8, winners of back-to-back) will be off until Feb. 16 as the #3 seed during the Class C2-6 subdistrict tournament in Oakland. The Bears will open against #6 Lutheran High Northeast at 6 p.m.
The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge boys (8-14) will next close out their regular season on Feb. 20 hosting Wynot starting at 6 p.m.
From Rice Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State College, the WSC women lost 64-52 while the Wildcat men dropped a 67-64 decision against St. Cloud State. Both teams have now suffered three straight losses.
The Wayne State College women (10-15, 5-14 NSIC) and men (14-11, 10-9 NSIC) will next host Minnesota State-Mankato on Feb. 14 at 1/3 p.m.
