From Crete during the B-3 Subdistrict Tournament, #3 Wayne suffered a 52-33 loss at #2 Crete.
The Blue Devils will end their season at 12-13.
From Norfolk Catholic High School during the C2-4 Subdistrict finals, #2 Wakefield dropped a 77-41 decision at #1 Norfolk Catholic.
The Trojans close out their year at 16-9.
From the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex, home baseball was being played for the first time in the past 20 years in the month of February.
The Wildcats lost 9-1 in the opening scheduled seven inning game before game two (scheduled nine inning contest) was halted due to darkness and will resume play starting at noon on Feb. 27 with Minnesota Duluth leading 6-4 in the top of the ninth and up to bat.
WSC (6-6/1-3 NSIC) and UMD (1-4, 1-3 NSIC) will then close out their four-game series shortly after with a seven and a nine inning game (originally scheduled to start at noon).
From Shawnee, KS, the Wayne State College softball team won their fifth straight thanks to a 15-2 victory in five innings over Quincy (IL) during the Midwest College Classic.
The game was moved up from March 1 due to weather impacting the Shawnee area later in the weekend.
WSC (9-1) will play twice on Feb. 27 starting with Southwest Baptist at 2:30 p.m. followed by Maryville Univ. at 4:45 p.m.
The 'Cats will close out the Midwest College Classic on Feb. 28 against Upper Iowa at 10 a.m. and #9 Missouri Southern at 2:30 p.m.
