Wayne State College softball and track & field closed out weekend competition while it was also the finals of the 2026 NSAA State Swim Championships for Wayne boys co-op with Norfolk High.

Back in Shawnee, KS during the Midwest College Classic, WSC picked up a walk-off win of 3-2 over Upper Iowa before suffering a 4-2 loss to #9 Missouri Southern (having an eight-game win streak snapped).

The Wildcats (12-2) will now prepare for their National Training Center Spring Games in Clermont, FL. Wayne State College is scheduled to play 10 games from March 6-11.

From Mankato, MN, the Wayne State College women's and men's indoor track & field team finished off competition during the NSIC Championships.

The WSC women placed seventh with 42.33 points and the Wildcat men scored 37 points to finish eighth.

Back at the Bob Devaney Sports Center during the State Swim Championships, Wayne's Kyler Parker finished off with finals action. He swam in three relay events during the consolation finals for Norfolk High.
