Fettig receives 90 days in jail for felony, misdemeanor charges

A former assisted living aid in Wayne received a jail sentence  of 90 days Wednesday for the misuse of a resident's credit card.

Fettig also received a sentence of 30 months probation and an order to pay $1,067.66 in restitution to the victim.

The court charged Teri  Fettig, 39, with a Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult: Class 3A Felony, and Unauthorized Use of a Financial Transaction Device: Class 1 Misdemeanor.

Previously, Fettig's misdemeanor charge was classified as a Class 4 Felony, though the judge lessened that charge.

A separate Class 3 Misdemeanor for Criminal Possession of a Financial Transaction Device was dropped.

The owner of the credit card Fettig used to make personal purchases suffered from dementia and late-stage Parkinson's disease, according to her power of attorney.
