At approximately 7 a.m. this morning (Friday) the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call three miles north and just over a mile west of Wayne.
Ten hay bales caught on fire and were quickly extinguished.
With anticipated high winds forecast for the next week, Wayne Fire Chief Phil Monahan urges everyone to use extreme caution, both in harvesting and with any fires.
