Volunteer firefighters in the area have responded to several fires in recent days, due to the dry, windy conditions.
On Oct. 10, firefighters from Winside and Carroll received calls of fires in their districts.
Carroll Volunteer Fire Chief Rick Davis said there is currently a burn ban in effect in the area, with no burn permits being issued.
He also encouraged all producers, as they continue harvesting to have tractors and discs and/or water tanks available in case a fire breaks out.
