Flag Warning issued for part of eastern Nebraska

A Red Flag Warning will be in effect from 1 p.m. this afternoon (Monday, March 11) until 7 p.m. 

Wind and low humidity will effect parts of northeastern Nebraska. Southerly winds are expected to be around 20 MPH with gusts up to 35 mph. Humidity will be between 15-20 percent. The public is encouraged not burn, as any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Counties affected include: Antelope, Boone, Burt, Butler, Cedar, Colfax, Cuming,Dodge, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Platte, Saunders, Seward, Stanton, Thurston and Wayne.
