A trio of talented individuals from the coverage area competed for Team Red during the 12th playing of the Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic on Friday, June 13 in Norfolk. Wayne's #0 Alex Rodriguez (bottom left) was listed as a wide receiver along with Tri County Northeast's (Allen/Emerson-Hubbard) #12 Ben Jorgensen as a defensive back (left) and #42 Brayden McCorkindale as a full back (below).
Under the lights from Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk, Team White took control early to win 42-22.
McCorkindale was credited with a three-yard rushing touchdown for Team Red in the fourth quarter.

Congratulations to Wayne business owner (Stadium Sports) and area official, Larry Wells (left) on being recognized as the 2025 Outstanding Contributors Award recipient. Also, former Wayne State College football head coach Dan McLaughlin (not pictured) was honored with the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award.
