Gifts of annuities benefit Wayne Area Legacy

Posted

It can be tiring to live at the mercy of the fluctuating stock and real estate markets. A charitable gift annuity is a gift made to the Wayne Area Legacy Fund that can provide a secure source of fixed payments for life.

There are many benefits of gifting annuities such as leaving a lasting legacy, receiving fixed payments for life, receiving a charitable income tax deduction for the charitable gift portion of the annuity, and benefit from payments that may be partially tax-free. A charitable gift annuity is a way to make a gift to support the Wayne Area Legacy Fund.

Cash or property can be transferred to the Wayne Area Legacy Fund. In exchange, the fund promises to pay fixed payments for life. The payment can be quite high depending on age, and a portion of each payment may even be tax-free. The annuitant will receive a charitable income tax deduction for the gift portion of the annuity.
