Funeral services for Helen L. Frahm, 90, of Wayne will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Burial will be Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Helen died Thursday Aug. 29, 2024 at her home at Kinship Pointe in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Helen’s family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
Helen Lucille Frahm was born Sept. 13, 1933 to Max Theodore Carl and Esther Anna Louise (Doring) Brudigan on a farm east of Carroll. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wayne. She attended School District #69 through the eighth grade and then graduated from Wayne High School in 1950. Helen married Merlin Gene Frahm Dec. 30, 1951 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wayne.
The couple farmed southeast of Winside, until moving to Wayne in 1969. Helen worked at Johnson’s Lockers for 15 years, retiring in 1985, and returned to work for five more years. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. She enjoyed her time with her family, playing bingo, word finds, crocheting, and canvas work.
Survivors include her children, Kenny (Darci) Frahm of Winside, Tom (Bonnie) Frahm of Lincoln and Lynn (Denis) Kratke of Pender; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Meier of Wakefield, a sister-in-law, Mardelle Brudigan of Wayne; nieces and nephews.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents; husband, Merlin, in 2007; a brother, Donald Brudigan and a brother in infancy and a brother-in-law, Harold Meier.
