Hermann W.H.  Lindner 96, of Wayne, died Saturday, April 9, at his home in Wayne.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.

Memorials may be directed to Lutheran Family Services, Ukraine Refugees Assistance Fund.

Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Hermann Walter Henrey Lindner was born Feb. 4, 1926 in Delmenhorst, Germany to Heinrich Hermann and Sophia (Daniel) Lindner. Hermann received his degree in cabinet building before the war. Hermann served in the German Airforce. Hermann married Emilie Rossberg on June 11, 1949 in Delmenhorst, Germany. In 1956, the family immigrated to Wayne. Hermann started his own construction business, Lindner Construction, in 1963.

Survivors include his children: Harry (Andrea) Lindner of  Norfolk, Gerda (Tom) Dorcey of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Ella (John) Williams of Columbus, Paul (Jodi) Lindner of Wayne, Cindy Lindner of Lincoln and Susen Lindner of Lincoln; a brother, Walter Lindner of Delmenhorst, Germany; a brother-in-law, Berthold Bohnet of  Delmenhorst, Germany;  13 grandchildren;  and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons; his wife, Emilie on June 4, 2006; a daughter, Karyn in 2012; and a grandson, Adam Williams.
