High school accolades achieved

Additional postseason recognition is starting to be shared for several of the high schools in the Wayne Herald coverage area.

For Laurel-Concord-Coleridge volleyball among the Greater Northeast Activities Conference, senior Tyler Recob as well as juniors Rena Rasmussen, Carlie Kvols and Kaida Eriksen earned GNAC All-Conference honors while sophomore Taelynn Settje collected honorable mention.

The Bears capped off a stellar 33-4 record with a Class C2 state runner-up finish.

LCC football D1-4 All-District selections were sophomore Drey Puppe and junior Tanner Thompson as All-District along with honorable mention candidates of senior Kolten Settje as well as juniors Cade Johnson and Talon Carson.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge closed their season at 2-6.

Lewis and Clark volleyball All-Conference representatives include senior Kiya Tornez and junior Joslyn Mackling both earning first team for Tri County Northeast.

The Wolfpack finished runner-up in their district final match closing the year with a 24-6 record.

Also in the Lewis and Clark Conference, freshman Aftyn Schutt was named Second Team for Winside volleyball along with senior Jerzi Carlson and freshman Tinsley Schwedhelm tabbed honorable mention.

The Wildcats ended their season at 13-14.

Additional All-District football awards for D1-2 went to seniors Thatcher Lamp and Ruany Figueroa as well as sophomore Braxten Sebade for Tri County Northeast along with seniors Jacob Borg, Mason Lamprecht and Ruben Vega for Wakefield.

TCNE honorable mention honorees were also senior Devin Reinert as well as sophomores Logan Morgan and Knox Lamp.

The Allen/Emerson-Hubbard co-op and Wakefield both went 1-7.
