Three new faces will great students at Wayne Community Schools next school year following action taken at Monday's meeting of the Wayne Community Schools Board of Education.
Kecia Schenk will be the Pre-K through fifth grade counselor; Alana Posvar will serve as the Pre-K through sixth grade music instructor and Caitlin Smith will be the Pre-K 2 EL instructor.
A presentation from two students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education class and their instructor were part of Monday's meeting.
Mallory Redden and Haley Kramer explained some of the trainings they had received while taking the class and it will be beneficial to them in the future.
Discussion on summer concrete repair was also on Monday's agenda.
Other information shared by administrators included the fact that assessment season has started; freshman orientation was held; class scheduling is underway; ACT testing will take place on March 24 and seventh grade orientation will take place on March 23.
The Wayne Community Schools' Board of Education will next meet in regular session on Monday, April 13 at 5 p.m. in the junior-senior high school library.
