A different meeting site welcomed Wayne County Board of Commissioners during their regularly scheduled meeting held on May 19.
From the Wayne County Courthouse basement meeting room, commissioners were kept busy with a couple agenda items pertaining to budget items they'll address in the coming months.
Director of Economic Development for Wayne America, Luke Virgil was first to visit with the board highlighting his team along with the commitment from Wayne Community Housing and the City of Wayne to Wayne County.
New District Court Judge, Ryan Stover then brought forth information on partially funding a Westlaw Legal Research software platform.
Wayne County is in the seventh Judicial District and was the first stop among seven counties (Antelope, Cuming, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton) being approached on assisting with the program which will benefit the judges in District 7.
An agenda item was tabled following an explanation for insurance bid process by Scott Watters, Writing Agent.
Other action that was completed in-between the last two meetings was the hiring of Adam Westerhold as the new maintenance/custodian.
The next regularly Wayne County Board of Commissioners meeting will take place on June 2 at 9 a.m. with location to be determined.
