Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School District (LCC School) has announced the selection of Jennifer Van Meter as the next Principal of LCC High School, pending approval by the Board of Education at its April 14 meeting.

Mrs. Van Meter has served the district since 2016 as a middle school English Language Arts teacher and is widely respected for her dedication to students and collaborative leadership. With a Master’s in Educational Leadership and extensive classroom experience, she is well-positioned to lead LCC High School into its next chapter.

In addition to her work at LCC, Mrs. Van Meter brings international leadership experience, having served as principal and director of a school in Romania. Her experience there included leading K–12 staff, developing academic programs, and fostering community partnerships.

The district conducted a thorough search with eight applicants and five finalists.

Superintendent Jeremy Christiansen said, “This was a difficult decision due to the number of highly qualified candidates. Jennifer stood out for her deep understanding of our school culture, her clear vision for academic excellence, and her strong relationships with students and staff.”

"The district extends its gratitude to the teachers, staff, and high school students who participated in the interview process," Christiansen added.
