Journey Christian Church in Wayne marked a major milestone on Sunday, June 28 as the congregation gathered for its 100th Anniversary Celebration.
The day was filled with worship, memories, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to the church's vision of "helping people find, follow, and be like Jesus." The anniversary theme was drawn from Psalm 145:4: "One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts." That verse served as a fitting summary of the church's story.
Former pastor Troy Reynolds returned to preach for the anniversary service. Reynolds began serving the church while still a student at Nebraska Christian College and continued in ministry at Journey Christian for 27 years.
