Jude K. Milliken, 82, of Wayne, died Friday, June 9, 2023 at Bryan LGH Medical East Campus in Lincoln.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 14 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 13 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Milliken family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Jude Katherine (Ryan) Milliken was born July 2, 1940 in O’Neill to Neil B. and Julia A. (Beelaert) Ryan. Jude was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in O’Neill. She received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Omaha’s College of St. Mary. Jude married Ronald Milliken on Dec.19, 1964 in Wayne where they lived their entire life and raised their children. Jude taught full-time in Leigh, Laurel, and Wisner-Pilger. She also worked at Dale’s Electronic’s (in Norfolk), Great Dane Trailers and Quality Foods in Wayne. Finally, she substitute taught in Emerson, Wayne, Winnebago and Winside. Jude was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; children, Scott (Semira Zorriassatein) Milliken, and Julie (Joel) Lavicky; grandchildren, James (Katrina) Lavicky and Matthew Lavicky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil B. and Julia A. Ryan and stepmother, Bonnie M. Ryan; brothers, Daniel and Jim Ryan; sister Mary McGinn; in-laws, James and Marie (Pedersen) Milliken, Ralph and LaVera Milliken, Lorraine and Marvin Hovde; nieces, Colleen, Sarah and Kay, and 3 infant nephews.
