Judy Ann Schroeder, 84, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2025.
A memorial service was held at Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
Judy Ann was born on March 19, 1941 in Wayne, the cherished daughter of Albert Fuoss and Bonnie Hurley. She grew up in Wayne and graduated from Wayne High School, later pursuing her studies at Omaha Baptist Bible College.
Judy married the love of her life, John David Schroeder, in Lincoln. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of Judy’s home-cooked meals. A talented and devoted cook, she had a special gift for creating delicious meals for family and friends — and no one ever forgot her root beer floats.
Judy had a passion for the simple joys of life. She spent many peaceful hours working on crewel embroidery and needle pointing, crafting beautiful pieces with patience and love. But it was her unwavering devotion to her faith that truly defined her life. Judy loved the Bible and lived its teachings with quiet strength and grace. Every day, she sang church hymns, her favorite being “Amazing Grace,” which she carried in her heart as both a prayer and a promise.
Judy’s life was a testament to love — for her family, her faith, and the small moments that make life meaningful. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
She is survived by daughter, Julie MacManus, and husband, Jim of McKinney, Texas; son, Justin Schroeder and wife, Staci of Nevada, Texas; sister, Norma Barker of Lewisville, Texas; brother, Roger Fuoss and his wife, Carol of Wayne; grandson, Joshua Schroeder of Nevada, Texas; granddaughter, Jillian MacManus of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Graci Schroeder of Nevada, Texas; sister-in-law, Jan Fuoss of Wayne, Nebraska; and a host of other loving family and friends.
