Karen June Kendall, 76, of Lampe, Missouri, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at the Stumpff Funeral Chapel in Kimberling City, Missouri.  A service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Kimberling City. 

The family suggests memorials to the Table Rock Quilts of Honor with cash or checks given to First Baptist Church of Kimberling City as moderator of the donations.  

Arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, Missouri. 

Karen June Kendall, daughter of Leroy and Betty (Junk) Echtenkamp, was born April 4, 1947, at Coleridge. She married Phillip Dwight Kendall Sr. on Aug. 13, 1977. Together they moved from Jefferson, Iowa to the Ozarks in 1981 and settled in Kimberling City, Missouri in 1983, where they owned and operated Kendall’s Fish-N-Stuff until 1994.

Membership was held in the First Baptist Church of Kimberling City, the Table Rock Quilters Guild, the Table Rock Chapter of Quilts of Honor and the Prayer Quilt Group of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Rolland Kendall; Phillip “Phil” Kendall Jr., his wife Gayle, and son Trison; Benjamin Kendall, his wife Carrie, and sons James and Dillon; Jennifer Kendall Baker, her husband Cory, and children Hudson, Boone, Finley, and Henry; brothers Dennis Echtenkamp and wife Cheryl, and Doug Echtenkamp and wife Cindy of Wayne; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip “Pete” Kendall Sr.
