Kevin B. Marotz, 65, of Hoskins, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2023 at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 12 at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. The Rev. Terry Buol will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Winside. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, also at Stonacek Funeral Chapel.

Kevin Brent Marotz was born July 6, 1958 in Norfolk to Chester and Doris (Miller) Marotz. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winside. He graduated from Winside High School in 1976. Kevin married the love of his life, Donna Mae Drahota, on July 30, 1976 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Pierce. To this union they had three children; Mindi, Sara and Scott. He farmed with his son, Scott, his brother, Kurtis, and his nephew, Dan. Kevin enjoyed taking trips to the casino, going on fishing trips to Canada with his brothers-in-law, farming with his family, and a good cigar.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, of Hoskins; children, Mindi (Jason) Magwire of Norfolk, Sara (Jon) Robish of Blair and Scott (Heather) Marotz of Hoskins; grandchildren, Maddox and Mace Magwire, Caleb and Cole Robish and Bridget, Charlotte and Parker Marotz; brother, Kurtis (Joan) Marotz of Hoskins, brothers and sisters-in-law; Richard (Becki) Drahota of Storm Lake, Iowa, Gary (Karen) Drahota of Norfolk, Bill (Mary) Drahota of Ceresco, Jack (Valerie) Drahota of Pointa Vedra, Florida, DeAnne (Gary) Smith of Sioux City, Iowa, Dale (Nancy) Drahota of Norfolk, Patricia (Roger) Blunck of Osmond, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Doris Marotz, and his father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Lucille Drahota.
