Laurel-Concord-Coleridge kindergarteners visited the Laurel firehall recently for Fire Safety week.
Firemen Dustin Thompson and Scott Rath presented a short program on fire safety. Students were instructed on what to do if there is a fire. They were able to see the fire gear the firemen wear when answering a call and learned about having a plan in place if there is a fire in their home.
Following this, each student was able to try on the helmet and coat the firemen wear and see a fire truck up close. Students were excited to receive their honorary firemen hats upon leaving the firehall.
