Korbin Carlson leads Winside boys with first place individual medal

Following a week off from competition, the Winside boys wrestlers returned to the mat on Friday.

From Weeping Water, the Winside boys were one of 12 teams in action during the Weeping Water Invite.

The Winside boys placed ninth with 46 points among their four wrestlers.

Raymond Central won the Weeping Water Invite with 196.5 points, Falls City followed in runner-up (151.5), Millard South took third (123.5), the host Weeping Water placed fourth (108.5) and DC West rounded out the top five teams with 102 points.

Winside leaders were Korbin Carlson (150) winning his division as Mason Edwards (138) took fourth. William Pace (165) also scored points as Asher Uttecht (157) was also in action.

The Winside boys wrestling team is back in action during the Lewis and Clark Conference Wrestling meet on Thursday, Jan. 23 in Winside.
