Laurel Ag Days to be celebrated


The Laurel Chamber Community Club is inviting everyone to the annual Laurel Ag Days to be held Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 13, 14, 15 and 16.

Activities get underway on Thursday, June 13 with a Let's Get Tropical Shaved Ice in the parking lot of Citizens State Bank from 3 to 6 p.m.

The Ag Days Pool Party  will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Laurel Pool. Admission is free and will include a ping pong ball float.

A family movie will be shown at the Haskell Field parking lot beginning at 9:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to view Disney's "Miracle."

Friday's events will include community-wide garage sales beginning at 8 a.m. 

A Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tourney will begin at 5 p.m. at the Laurel City Park.

Game Time Eats Food Truck will be in front of Kardell Auto from 5 to 10 p.m.

Dueling Pianos by The Fun Pianos Show will be held at the Laurel Community Center from 7 to 11 p.m.

Breakfast of Champions, hosted by the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge high school sports teams will take place from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Laurel Community Center.

Community-wide garage sales begin at 8 a.m. as does the registration of the Cross Country 5K. This will be located at the Shelter House in the City Park. The run begins at 8:30 a.m. with strollers welcome.

A bake sale will be held at Hillcrest Care Center from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The Laurel Senior Center will hold an Open House from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. 

The Ag Days Parade starts at Hillcrest Care Center at 10:30 a.m. and proceeds north to Main Street.

Saturday in the Park activities are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Included will be food trucks, face painting,  a tractor show, Kiddie Tractor Pull and a tractor drive to CVA, beginning at 12:30 p.m, 

A Co-Ed Slowpitch Softball Tournament and a Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tourney start at noon and runs throughout the afternoon.

The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Alumni Association Banquet begins at 5:30 p.m. at the high school.

This year's Ag Days celebration comes to an end on Sunday, June 16 with a Father's Day Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Laurel Vets Club.

A Father's Day Golf Tournament will begin at 10 a.m. at the Cedar View Golf Course.
