Coach Shannon Benson
On Monday, Sept. 29, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bulldogs took on the GACC Bluejays from Westpoint/Beemer.
It was the last home game for the Bulldogs and they were looking to stay undefeated at home this season.
GACC was able to get off on a good start taking the ball to start the game and scoring on their first drive of the game to take a 6-0 lead.
The Bulldogs received the kickoff and took the ball down the field and were able to put a touchdown on the board themselves and make the conversion to make the score 8-6.
The Bulldogs really tightened up the defense and were able to keep the Bluejays under control the rest of the first half not allowing any big plays or scores. Meanwhile the Bulldog offense was just warming up and scored on every possession they had in the half even scoring in the final seconds before halftime.
This allowed the Bulldogs to take a 30-6 lead into halftime.
The Bulldogs received the second half kickoff and were able to score on that drive as well making the score 38-6.
The Bulldog defense really kept the Bluejays under control not allowing any big plays or score in the second half and scored a few more times to finish the game with a 46-6 win.
The Bulldogs will play their final game of the season on Oct. 6 in Wakefield and take on the Trojans.
