Five matches and five wins was the result for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge following the two-day Wakefield Volleyball Invite.
From the main gym in Wakefield on September 11 and September 13, LCC went 9-2 in sets played on their way to an invitational title.
Opening on September 11, the Bears swept Lyons Decatur Northeast (25-11, 25-17) and won in three sets over Ponca (25-13, 24-26, 25-16).
On September 13, LCC closed out pool play with a sweep over the host Trojans (25-10, 25-13) before picking up wins in the championship bracket of 2-0 over Elkhorn Valley (25-21, 25-18) and 2-1 in the finals against Pierce (24-26, 25-23, 25-19).
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge improved to 9-0.
Junior Rena Rasmussen posted a team-high 72 kills, 37 digs and seven blocks including two double-doubles.
Junior Kaida Eriksen added 29 kills and 38 digs.
Senior Tyler Recob finished with 19 service aces.
Junior Carlie Kvols totaled 119 assists in all five matches, 27 digs and 15 kills with one double-double.
LCC is back in action hosting Neligh-Oakdale starting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16. There will be no 'C' volleyball match but instead JV will play a best-of-five followed by varsity.
