Homecoming Friday night football took over the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge schedule with now two games remaining on the regular season.
From Laurel, the Bears dropped a 63-12 decision to Plainview on Oct. 3.
LCC has now suffered back-to-back losses falling to 2-4 as the visiting Pirates moved to 5-1.
Plainview built a 21-0 first quarter lead followed by a 21-6 advantage in the second quarter to lead 42-6. The Pirates outscored LCC, 14-6 in the third and scored the only points in the fourth (seven).
Senior Kolten Settje recorded a pick-six for LCC of 15-yards while sophomore Paxton Hoeppner found sophomore Drey Puppe on a passing touchdown.
LCC failed both two-point conversions.
Puppe finished 6-14 passing for 44 yards (long of 17) and had a 56-yard receiving touchdown.
Paxton Hoepper went 3-10 for 83 yards passing with one score and two interceptions. He also ran the ball twice for 30 yards and caught one pass for three yards.
Sophomore Parker Hoeppner added four carries for three yards. He also tacked on four catches for 39 yards and averaged 20.3 yards on three kickoff returns.
Junior Talon Carson tallied two receptions for 12 yards as Settje had a 17-yard reception. He also had an interception.
Paxton Hoeppner recorded a team-high eight tackles (five solo) followed by Settje with six tackles (four solo) and a pick six.
Junior Kyle Rasmussen finished with a tackle for loss.
LCC will next host Summerland (4-2) on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. (close regular season at Stanton Oct. 17).
