First round competition began Monday evening during the 2025 Greater Northeast Activities Conference girls tournament.
From Tilden, #4 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge played in the first-ever GNAC tourney against #5 Summerland.
LCC picked up a 61-37 victory winning their third straight improving to 10-10 as Summerland fell to 7-12.
The Bears were led in scoring by sophomore Kaida Eriksen with 24 points while sophomore Rena Rasmussen followed with 17 points.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge head girls basketball coach Marcus Messersmith said despite with junior Camryn Sohler going down early with an injury, “I thought overall (we) played pretty well defensively and ran in transition pretty well.”
The GNAC girls finals will be at 6 p.m. at Hartington-Newcastle on Saturday, Feb. 8.
