LCC girls golf competes in Pierce

Following just over a week off from varsity competition, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge girls golf team traveled to Pierce for weekend invite action.

From the Pierce Community Golf Course on September 13, the Bears finished fourth with a 406.

LCC was led by a fifth place medal from Harper Bruning shooting a 96 as Alyza Leonard (15th) and Mavis Jonas (16th) both carded a 103.

Other results came from Danica Gould (18th - 104) and Holly Patefield (20th - 105).

Scotus (Columbus) won the Pierce Invite with a 382.

There was a battle for second between Pierce (395) and Boone Central (402).

The individual champion was Rylee Altwine from Pierce posting a 79.

Members of the LCC girls golf JV team were also in action this past Friday at South Ridge in South Sioux City. Mavis Jonas placed runner-up with a 47 and Tanya Miranda was fourth with a 53. Stella Kock shot a 58.

Next up for the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge girls golf team will be a home triangular on Tuesday, September 16 from CedarView Golf Course in Laurel. Tri County Northeast (Allen/Emerson-Hubbard) and Pender will attend starting at 4 p.m.
