Boys golfers from Laurel-Concord-Coleridge began their season during a weekend invitational.
From the Plainview Country Club, LCC was listed among 17 teams who totaled the 81 varsity and JV golfers during the Plainview Invite on Saturday.
The Bears posted a 363 to finish seventh.
Creighton won the Plainview Invite with a 330, Battle Creek followed two strokes back in runner-up (332), West Holt took third (350), Summerland placed fourth (352) and Chambers/Wheeler Central rounded out the top five teams with a 359.
Brody Bessmer from Battle Creek and Calvin Wilmes from Creighton both shot the low score on the day with a 73 to tie for first.
LCC was led by senior Gibson Roberts in 24th with an 89 along with sophomore Cade Johnson who followed in 25th with a 90.
Other scoring for the Bears came from sophomore Talon Carson (28th – 92), sophomore Tanner Thompson (33rd – 92) and junior Kolten Settje (63rd – 108).
