Some champions were crowned on Tuesday during the subdistrict round as Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will now wait for the wildcard to advance further in postseason play.
Back at Clarkson Public Schools, Class C1-5 Subdistrict volleyball action closed with #1 Clarkson/Leigh hosting #2 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.
A back-and-forth finish to the first set favored the host Patriots as Clarkson/Leigh went on to win the match 28-26, 25-21, 25-23 over LCC. The Bears saw their eight-match winning streak end falling to 28-4 while the Patriots improved to 29-3.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will have to wait after Wednesday’s round of subdistrict finals to see their postseason seeding set for Saturday.
The District Final round will re-seed the 10 subdistrict winners along with six wildcards set for Saturday, Nov. 2. The top eight teams in Class C1 and C2 will host the bottom eight teams while Class D1 and D2 will have the top eight host the bottom eight unless the distance is greater than 180 miles (neutral site will be chosen).
