Despite putting points on the board in three of the four quarters, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge football team fell to 0-2 on the season.
From Pender, the Pendragons picked up the 50-21 win to move to 1-1.
LCC scores were posted by junior Kyle Rasmussen on a one-yard reception from sophomore quarterback Drey Puppe in the first quarter, Puppe then found junior Tanner Thompson on a 43-yard strike in the second quarter and junior Ian Sohler ran in from five yards out in the fourth (Puppe kicked the PAT).
Puppe finished 7-12 for 114 yards and two scores while also leading the ground game on 11 rushes for 39 yards.
Sophomore Parker Hoeppner (ran in a two-point conversion) tallied two carries for 18 yards (long of 17).
Tanner Thompson caught three passes for 100 yards (long of 44) with one score as Rasmussen had the one catch for a one-yard score.
Puppe led the Bears on defense with 19 total tackles (10 solo) followed by senior Tyler Boysen who added 10 stops (six solo).
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will next travel to Emerson on Friday, September 12 for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Tri County Northeast.
