LCC, Wakefield boys golf compete among field of 82

Following a one-day postponement due to Thursday rain, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and Wakefield boys golf teams were back on the course for invite competition.

From Fair Play Golf Course in Norfolk, 20 varsity and junior varsity teams made up the Lutheran High Northeast Invite which was moved to Friday.

The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge boys placed 10th with a 390 while two golfers were in action for Wakefield competing as individuals.

Norfolk Catholic won the Lutheran High Northeast Invite with a 336, Creighton followed in runner-up (342), Norfolk JV took third (359), Summerland placed fourth (366) and Pierce rounded out the top five teams with a 373.

Cole Lawless from Lutheran High Northeast posted the low 18-hole score of five over PAR 77 among the 83 golfers.

The LCC boys were led by Talon Carson (t-26th – 93) followed by Gibson Roberts and Tanner Thompson (t-42nd – 98), Cade Johnson (52nd – 101) and Paxton Hoeppner (t-57th – 103).

Wakefield’s top golfer was Lane Fischer (t-53rd – 102) along with Drew Kubik (73rd – 114).
