Championship Friday closed out one final area conference tournament ahead of postseason play.
From Summerland High School in Ewing, four teams remained during the Greater Northeast Activities Conference (GNAC) volleyball tournament.
#1 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge picked up a four-set victory over #2 Elkhorn Valley to be crowned the first-ever GNAC tournament champs. The Bears have now won eight straight going 20-1 in sets played since Oct. 10 to improve to 27-3 overall. Elkhorn Valley fell to 20-8.
Scores of the match favored LCC 22-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-19.

The third place match favored #4 West Holt winning in five-sets over #3 Summerland (25-17, 25-20, 24-26, 18-25, 15-9).
