Linda A. Young, 74, of Wayne, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2024 at the Hillcrest Care Center in Laurel.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorial contributions are recommended to Linda’s family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
Linda Ann Young was born May 26, 1950 in Wayne to Erving Leroy and Frances Rebecca (Sydow) Doring. She was a graduate of Wayne High School and Wayne State College. She attended Nursing School in Omaha. Linda worked at Providence Medical Center for many years as a Nurse Aide, E.M.T. and in inventory management and was a hospice volunteer. Later, she worked at the Bankcard Center in Wayne. After retiring, she worked at Kinship Pointe in Wayne for a while. Over the years, Linda enjoyed horse back riding and many trail rides. As a skilled quilt maker, she shared countless numbers of her creations with family, friends and the community. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and served as a sound system technician.
Survivors include her son, Chad (Krista) Young of Laurel; three grandchildren, Freya, Patrick and Cloey of Laurel; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; a brother, John; and many aunts and uncles.
