Liquor licenses, future projects on council agenda

Posted

A relatively light agenda greeted council members when the Wayne City Council met in regular session on May 4.

The meeting included a public hearing on a Class I Liquor License (beer, wine, spirit on sale only) for Low Light, LLC, doing business as Low Light.

No action was taken on an application for an addition to the liquor license premises for Wildcat Lanes. The item will be brought back to council for consideration at its next meeting.

Council members approved a resolution approving a lease proposal and awarded a contract to Waste Connections for the Wayne Recycling and Trash Center.

A proposal submitted by JEO Consulting Group in the amount of $30,000 was approved. This proposal will assist the city in planning for the future use of the property at 1100 East 10th Street.

The Wayne City Council will next meet in regular session on Monday, May 18 at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers.
