The Wayne Zone LWML Fall Rally was held Oct. 20 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Laurel.
The theme for the rally was “God Bless America” based on the Bible verse Psalm 33:12 – “Blessed is the nation whose God is Lord, the people he chose for His inheritance!” Attendees listened to patriotic piano duets by Karla Pippitt and Karen Knudsen. There was a hymn sing of 3 patriotic songs.
Zone President Sheila Floyd welcomed everyone. Pastor Jeffrey Warner gave the opening devotion and all read responsively Psalm 33:12-22. He gave his thoughts about America and if we are still Christian. In America today only 62% of our people identify that they are Christian. The mission of the church proclaims Jesus is Lord to America and the whole world. Everyone needs to hear this message.
Guest speaker was Mary Rastede the group leader of “Quilts of Valor" while District President Tonya Waite gave the district report.
