Lynn Clinton Reber

Lynn Clinton Reber, 72, was born in Naper, Nebraska on March 14, 1952 to Clint and Ioan Reber and died at home in Knoxville, Tennessee on April 18, 2024.

​Lynn grew up in Hoskins and attended high school in Norfolk. After high school, Lynn attended Chadron State College in Chadron, on a baseball scholarship and was a pitcher. While in college he was invited to play Triple A ball for the Chicago White Sox minor league team, but he chose to remain in college and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education.

​Lynn enjoyed a career as a high school English teacher and coach. During this time he continued his education at the University of Nebraska, Kearney, earning an MA in Speech Communications. He always had a passion for books. His love of literature led to his field of study and to a life-long love of reading.

​Lynn’s biggest joys were spending time with his grandchildren and attending Chicago Cubs baseball games with his son. 

Lynn is survived by his son Lee and wife, Kaila; grandsons Camden and Cru; granddaughter, Nora; three nephews, two nieces and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Carla and Paula.
