Marcella L. (Brugger) Larson, 96, of Wayne, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at her home at Kinship Pointe in Wayne.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Larson family for later designation.

Marcella Loretta Larson was born June 27, 1926 in Wayne to Norbert Harrison and Maria Louise (Jotzke) Brugger. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1944, and attended Wayne State College. Marcella married Earl Larson on June 19, 1946 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne. The couple lived in Wayne where Marcella worked for the Civil Service office in 1945, REA in 1946, Gambles Store from 1947 to 1952 and Carhart Lumber from 1952 to 1979. Marcella was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was a former organist. She was a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. Marcella was also a member of the Wayne Country Club and served as President of the Mrs. Jaycees. She enjoyed music, golf, bridge club and belonged to a bowling league.
Survivors include her cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Maria (Jotzke) Brugger and husband, Earl January 7, 2012.
