Marcia Kay Henderson, 65, of Wakefield, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
A memorial visitation will be held on from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 at the Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield. A memorial Mass will be on at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne. Lunch will follow the service at Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial will be at a later date in Leigh.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Marcia Kay Henderson was born June 23, 1958, in Columbus, the daughter of Arland and Marcella (Eisenmann) Wurdeman. At an early age, Marcia and her family moved to Wakefield. She graduated from Wakefield High School in 1976. Marcia married Thomas Henderson on Oct. 24, 1981 at Emerson. To this union four children were born, Josh, Nathan, Matthew and Emily. For 26 years, Marcia provided daycare in her home, helping raise hundreds of kids. She was a caring and giving person, helping anyone at need. For the last 12 years she was a manager at Wayne East Prime Stop in Wayne.
Marcia enjoyed quilting, tending to her flowers, garden and fish pond. Most of all she loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Tom of Wakefield; sons, Josh Henderson of Kansas City, Missouri, Nathan (Andrea) Henderson, of Wayne, Matthew Henderson (Jessica Curi) of Sioux City, Iowa; daughter, Emily (Miles) Garrard of Columbus; grandchildren, Cooper, Parker, Liam, Rhys, Finn, and Henry; her sisters, Deb (Dave) Hoffman of Ashland, Patty Wurdeman of Wakefield and Joan (Kurt) Marotz of Stanton; brothers, Mike (Theresa) Wurdeman of Wayne, Kelvin (Joyce) Wurdeman of Wayne, Roger (Becky) Wurdeman of Winside and Jeff Wurdeman of Wayne; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wanda Wurdeman; and an infant brother and sister.
