Mary N. Davis, 92, of Carroll, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024  with her caring family by her side on Wednesday May 8, 2024, at her home at Kinship Pointe in Wayne.

A Christian Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 14 at United Methodist Church in Carroll with the Rev. Nick Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 13 at United Methodist Church in Carroll. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Carroll.

Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.

Mary Nell (Stevens) Davis was born Oct. 29, 1931 in Ocheyedan, Iowa to Cecil and Lyrell (Paisley) Stevens. Mary attended school at Ocheyedan-Sibley, St. Joseph Academy in St. Paul Minnesota, and graduated from Carroll High School in 1949. Mary and Donald G. Davis were married at the Carroll United Methodist Church on May 29, 1949. The couple farmed near Carroll for several years.  Mary worked for the Wayne Community School for 17 years until her retirement. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Carroll, secretary of United Methodist Board, 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, past Worthy Matron, Carroll Women’s Club, United Methodist Women, Town and Country Club, Extension Club, Carroll Saddle Club and Belles and Beaus Square Dance Club.

Survivors include her children, Terry (Jan) Davis of Oshkosh, Debra (Kenny) Hall of Carroll, Rick (Diana) Davis of Carroll and Jeff (Conni) Davis of Carroll; sister-in-law, Norma Davis of Wayne; grandchildren, Wendy (Jason) Krueger, Mandi (Jim) Fernau, Brandon (Kirby) Hall, Ashley (Jon) Holtz, Justin (Allie) Davis; Mashala Davis, Jacob Davis, Alex Davis, Karissa Davis, Derek (Renee) Davis and Cameron Davis; great-grandchildren, McKenna Krueger, Austin, Carter, and Regan Fernau, Rylin, Camden and Keaton Hall, Ella and Evie Holtz, and Miles, Max and Grace Davis; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents, Cecil and Lyrell; step-father, William Thomas; husband, Don, in 1986; sister, Joyce Bruns; brother, Maurice Stevens; brothers-in-law, Gordon Davis and Gary Bruns; sister-in-law, Mona Stevens and nephew, Frank Bruns.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters Wendy Krueger   Mandi Fernau  Ashley Holtz Mashala Davis, Karissa Davis, Kirby Hall, Allie Davis and Renee Davis.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons Brandon Hall, Justin Davis, Jacob Davis, Alex Davis, Derek Davis, Cameron Davis, Jason Krueger, Jim Fernau and Jon Holtz.
